REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Regional sales position which works independently under the guidance of the Vice President of Sales (Eastern or Western) managing multiple customer and partner relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales quotas and growing the business through obtaining new accounts, maintaining existing business, and strategic account management for the assigned region
- Develop strong and successful relationships with Mammography manufacturers field representatives
- Knowledge of computer networking (ex: IP address, DICOM, Ethernet ports)
- Assesses potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet customer needs. Has knowledge of changing market in assessing needs
- Researches and presents reports showing potential customers the cost benefit of purchasing company products or services, providing customer with a comprehensive financial analysis for equipment
- Communicates customer feedback into future product developments
- Uses technical knowledge of product offerings to support and build sales
- Must possess excellent presentation skills ranging from individual to large group presentations – Including C-levels
- Assure customer buying needs are addressed during each field visit to ensure a successful purchase for the customer
- Conduct selling activities during each site visit. Present corporate overviews, reinforce key selling points, and conduct sales presentation during equipment demonstration
- Utilize Salesforce.com for keeping all sales opportunities identified, catalogued, and prioritized
- Prepares accurate bids, price quotes and sales reports
- Keeps Salesforce.com data up to date on a weekly basis
- Keep abreast of new and upcoming technology
- 40-60% overnight travel may be required at times
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent educational background in the healthcare field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years previous capital equipment sales experience in the Healthcare Industry, preferably in medical devices or in the Healthcare IT field
- Proven track record of cold calling, building relationships and closing accounts is required
- Documented track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and increasing total dollar sales in territory
- Successful forecasting track record in healthcare capital sales
- Ability to build influential customer/supplier relationships a Must
- Ability to work large contracted business (GPO and IDN)
- Strong interpersonal skills a Must
- Strong Customer Service skills a Must
- Strong organizational skills a Must
- Must be a team player
- This position may require 40-60% overnight travel
