SENIOR RESEARCH SCIENTIST

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Research and develop state of the art CAD algorithms for breast, prostate, lung and colon cancer detection.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and implement sophisticated image processing and analysis techniques in 3D.
• Lead other research scientists.
• Develop feature extraction and pattern recognition algorithms for radiographic applications.
• Investigate and evaluate new technologies for expanding our solution.
• Collaborate with companies, research institutions and clinical sites.
• Work with product management and marketing to identify research requirements.
• Create patent ideas and provide support for patent applications.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years algorithmic research/development experience (3+ in corporate environment) in Computer Aided Detection in the medical industry preferred. 
• Recognized authority in Image Analysis and Pattern Recognition.
• Must have industry experience with proven history of delivering commercially successful results in a timely manner.
• Advance degree in Biomedical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Imaging Science, Physics or equivalent.
• Strong Technical and Leadership abilities to lead a group of researchers.
• 5+ years experience with MATLAB.
• 3+ years C/C++ programming preferred
• Tomosynthesis or Lung CT CAD experience preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
