SENIOR RESEARCH SCIENTIST
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Research and develop state of the art CAD algorithms for breast, prostate, lung and colon cancer detection.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement sophisticated image processing and analysis techniques in 3D.
- Lead other research scientists.
- Develop feature extraction and pattern recognition algorithms for radiographic applications.
- Investigate and evaluate new technologies for expanding our solution.
- Collaborate with companies, research institutions and clinical sites.
- Work with product management and marketing to identify research requirements.
- Create patent ideas and provide support for patent applications.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years algorithmic research/development experience (3+ in corporate environment) in Computer Aided Detection in the medical industry preferred.
- Recognized authority in Image Analysis and Pattern Recognition.
- Must have industry experience with proven history of delivering commercially successful results in a timely manner.
- Advance degree in Biomedical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Imaging Science, Physics or equivalent.
- Strong Technical and Leadership abilities to lead a group of researchers.
- 5+ years experience with MATLAB.
- 3+ years C/C++ programming preferred
- Tomosynthesis or Lung CT CAD experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
