CLINICAL APPLICATIONS SPECIALIST (MRI)
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
iCAD develops cutting edge technology products based on it’s patented, scientific discoveries involving the behavior of contrast agents as imaged by MRI devices. The focus of iCAD is on developing a family of “plug-in” products that will allow radiologists to better diagnose the presence of malignant lesions in a variety of human organs.
This position involves working closely with the VP of Service, a team of software developers, our sales force and a growing array of iCAD customer sites that are currently using or are in need of the iCAD software products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform on-site software installation and configuration, as well as implementation of required MRI protocol.
- Train customers on how to interpret images resulting from the iCAD algorithm and software application
- Answer customer questions regarding the features of our software, the required MRI scanning protocol or the use of the iCAD software algorithm
- Provide customer follow-up and confirm that customers are using the required MRI protocols to ensure optimal performance of the iCAD software
- Interact with software development team on improving the product or eliminating product weaknesses
- Support the activities of beta testing sites for new software releases
- Support investigator- or company-driven clinical research activities
- Support sales force and advise on medical and MRI protocol issues
- Trade show and Demo support
- Pre-install site visits as appropriate
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ideal: Radiology Technologist with first-hand experience in MRI, preferred certification in MRI with 5 years experience. Requires an understanding of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, state of the art imaging protocols, as well as a working knowledge of standard MRI devices (GE, Philips or Siemens)
- Industry experience as an MR Applications Specialist preferred (either imaging pharmaceuticals or medical imaging devices),
- Experience with Windows software – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ACT database
- Willingness in working in a dynamic workplace that encourages creativity and innovation
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be able to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Has to be able to drive the process and take responsibility
- Must be willing to travel extensively (up to 80-90% of time) and on short notice
